Courtney spotted Andrew from across the room while out on Saint Patrick’s Day in New York City. She pointed him out to her friend, who quickly realized that she knew Andrew and took the liberty of introducing them. Courtney didn’t get to talk to Andrew much that night but her friend made sure they had the opportunity to get to know each other when they all hung out again a couple of weeks later; soon they were dating. The Bride Courtney O. Hill, 30, an advertising and marketing manager The GroomAndrew Flint, 31, vice president of a real estate company The Date September 20 Almost two years later, Courtney was readying her place to have friends over for drinks when Andrew called and asked her to meet him outside. Slightly annoyed, she did as he asked. Beneath the tree in front of Courtney’s building, Andrew proposed.

Andrew loves when Courtney’s hair is swept back in a side part, so for their wedding day she wore it just that way -- curled, half up, half down with a braid on the side. For a personal touch, she added flowers picked from her father and stepmother’s garden.
Even though the weather was beautiful, the wedding took place close to the beach, so Courtney and Andrew set out blankets for guests to take in case they got chilly when the sun went down.
In addition to a wedding cake, Courtney and Andrew offered a dessert bar with macaroons, mini cupcakes, blue and white candy, and other sweets.
Guests sat at a mix of round and rectangular tables at the reception. All were decorated with white blooms, including peonies and daises, arranged in galvanized flowerpots for a clean, fresh look.
Guests sat or stood in a circle around Courtney and Andrew for a more intimate feel. The couple stood on a blanket of white rose petals, beneath four bamboo poles draped with white fabric.
Matching the centerpieces, an arrangement of white daisies in galvanized buckets decorated the guest book table. A wooded sign painted with “wedding wishes” let guests know what to do.
Courtney gave her mom free reign to design the wedding cake. For the topper, she chose two lovebirds made of seersucker fabric.
Dinner was served beneath a clear tent with transparent teal fabric draped from the ceiling, allowing guests to see the twinkling lights on the trees above. For a twist on chandeliers, wooden sticks were shaped into balls and hung overhead, with candles inside.
Courtney and Andrew sat in chairs marked specially for them with painted wooden signs and white daisies.
