The Bride Stephanie Brtko, 26 and an English teacher at Dunlap High School The Groom Justin McGuffey, 28 and the divisional sales director for Protective Life The Date May 22 “Glamour garden” was the theme of the day. To bring their French Park wedding to life, Stephanie and Justin chose a color scheme of purple and black accented with ivory and green.

The couple included two readings in the ceremony -- one from The Alchemist and a sonnet by Pablo Neruda.
Small arrangements of purple flowers adorned each ceremony chair.
Cupcakes -- set out on a four-tiered display -- took the place of a cake.
Classic purple and ivory menu cards were tucked into deep purple napkins at each place setting.
A mix of roses, purple stock, purple veronica and vanda orchids made up the maids’ organic-looking bouquets.
Since Stephanie and Justin were raised in Cincinnati, they knew that it was where they would have their wedding. But the French House at French Park is not an easy venue to book. They had to call at midnight on the first of their desired wedding month a year before the date.
One of the bridesmaids found these rich purple silk dresses at a department store, and they fit the color scheme perfectly.
The arrangements varied -- some were tall with crystals and branches, and others were clusters of bud vases.
Stephanie and Justin set out paper mustaches for guests to wear in the photo booth.
One of Stephanie’s favorite details of the day was this purple vintage-style sign, painted by her mother.
In keeping with the rest of the wedding day stationery, the programs featured a pretty purple design.
Purple glass vases filled with dark purple flowers decorated the fireplace mantel at the reception.
