A Garden Party Wedding at Hummingbird House in Manchaca, Texas

Katie Passmore (24 and in oil and gas) met George Coultress (25 and in finance) at Texas Christian University. Several years later, George proposed with a ring he custom-designed around Katie’s grandmother’s diamond. The couple’s wedding took place at Hummingbird House in Manchaca, Texas. “We chose the location because the grounds are absolutely beautiful with incredible flowers and foliage, trees fully wrapped in lights and a big party tent complete with crystal chandeliers,” says Katie. Their wedding was simple and incorporated neutral colors such as all-white linens and flowers with a touch of greenery and coral, guided by the natural foliage at the venue. During the cocktail hour, a mariachi band entertained guests, followed by a barbecue dinner and dancing all night. “It was most important to us for our guests to have fun,” says Katie. As favors, the couple gave the ladies pashmina scarves and gave the men shot glasses.
