A Garden-Inspired Wedding at Will Rogers Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

For high school sweethearts Kelley Olson (24 and a teacher) and Colby Connel (23 and a coach and teacher), there was no better place to get married than Will Rogers Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Their day unfolded with an outdoor ceremony in the Charles E. Sparks Rose Garden surrounded by 300 of their loved ones, followed by a short walk through the pretty gardens in the Margaret Annis Boys Arboretum to their reception in the greenhouse. Kam’s Cookery catered delicious Mediterranean food, Kelley and Colby’s favorite. Their friends pitched in to make their day special: Amy Hammons made the wedding cake, and their brothers and friend picked out a musical playlist to keep the dance floor moving through the whole party. Toward the end of the night, they even passed out glow sticks. Kelley and Colby’s primary wedding goal was to make their guests feel cared for in every way, from good food and drink to a fun celebration. “My hope was that they would meet us on the dance floor and feel relaxed,” Kelley says. “We wanted to celebrate, and we were thankful for our friends and family for making us feel loved.” Sarah Libby Photography was on hand to catch the details of the day, below.
