A Garden-Inspired Vintage Wedding at Cypress Grove Estate House in Orlando, Florida

Sarah Anderson (26 and an office clerk) and Ronald Berner II (25 and a computer programer) met through their concert choir at Stetson University and became engaged five years later after a romantic dinner in Orlando. A waiter presented Sarah with her round-cut diamond engagement ring on a silver platter as Ronald got down on one knee and popped the question. “I was so surprised. I started crying with happiness,” she says. With about a two year engagement, the couple had plenty of time to work with Tickled Pink Brides and plan their vintage garden-inspired blue, gold, cream and blush wedding. “We decided to go for a more timeless look with small touches as nods towards our favorite things,” says Sarah. Their lakeside custom ceremony at Cypress Grove Estate House was decorated with a circular candelabra, blue sashes along white folding chairs as well as low arrangements of blush garden roses and blue hydrangea in hanging gold orbs. Once they exchanged vows, Sarah, Ronald and their 115 guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour and reception. Family-style and round tables were matched with pale blue linens, gold chiavari chairs, layered blue and gold china, neutral lace aisle runners, gold-rimmed glassware and simple low pink rose centerpieces in either tea cups or gold orbs. The couple served their guests a southern buffet before treating them to red velvet cupcakes and a two-tier lemon wedding cake with blueberry filling. “We had both been dieting prior to the wedding because we wanted to look our best. In that spirit, we wanted all the foods we hadn't allowed ourselves to eat getting ready for the wedding,” says Sarah. Sarah and Ronald spent the rest of the night dancing to a DJ with their friends and family. “Music is a big part of our lives, and we wanted to share our favorite music with our favorite people,” says Sarah.
