Turning to garden-inspired details, Elizabeth Schovee (25 and works in hotel development) and Matthew MacFarlane (24 and works as a trader) had a whimsical mountain wedding full of colorful floral arrangements. They used yellow as their main color and accented it with shades of blush and orange for a summery palette. The bridesmaids wore Jenny Yoo Annabelle dresses in sterling gray for a softer, more neutral look. “The best part about the dress was that the girls could tie the sashes however they wanted,” Liz says. “So while everyone had the same dress, they could make it their own!” Liz and Matt exchanged vows at the Beaver Creek Chapel because they loved that it was on the mountainside, along the creek and among the aspens. Plus, it had always been a childhood dream for Liz, a Denver native. The reception at Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail, Colorado, was decorated with pastel floral arrangements, twinkling candlelight, ivy-covered chandeliers and hanging mercury glass vases for a romantic, ethereal garden aura. Liz and Matt danced to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” for their first dance on the balcony terrace patio space that opened to string lights.

Liz and Matt exchanged vows at the Beaver Creek Chapel. “The Beaver Creek Chapel is the most beautiful chapel,” Liz says. “It’s on the mountainside, alongside a creek and among the aspens. From the time I was young, I wanted to get married in that church.”

Liz wore a Christos by Amsale A-line wedding dress with crystal and lace detailing and an open back.

The escort cards were displayed hanging from potted trees with champagne satin ribbons for a whimsical indoor garden feel.
The reception was decorated with draping ivy, hanging mercury glass floral arrangements and string lights for an ethereal garden feel.

The reception tables were numbered with simple folded paper table numbers decorated with white and yellow ribbon and finished with the couple’s monogram in gray calligraphy-style typography.

The centerpieces included small mercury glass vases filled with leaves and roses along with small candles to create a whimsical, romantic garden feel.
The reception tables were covered in tall glass vases filled with wood and topped with roses, dahlias and peonies for a lush, garden feel.
