Guinevere (Guin) Hayes (34, real estate professional) and Eric Guthrie (sales manager) met on the softball field; he was playing third baseman and she was showcasing her lefty talent at first. They were friends and respected each other's athletic prowess on the diamond, until one day it became much, much more. Eric proposed on a romantic Montana ski trip in the middle of a remote, torch-lit dinner. Neither Guin or Eric wanted to get married in their home states, so they decided to turn their wedding in to a party in Vegas. "Why not?" says the bride. "We wanted to have a killer party with easy flights and good hotel options." The couple had a sunset garden arboretum wedding at Springs Preserve, and were married under a beautiful archway draped in burlap and greenery. Their theme was vintage garden party with old Vegas flare with a color palette of white and green with organic natural textures and coral for a pop of color. Guin wore a classic smooth white vintage gown with a deep v-neck and coral flowers in her hair, and Eric wore a casual gray suit with a coral shirt to match. The wedding moved indoors for the reception, where guests enjoyed dinner and a cupcake dessert and continued to dance the night away in traditional Las Vegas fashion.

The invitation suite was designed to look like classic Las Vegas signage and printed on timeless black and white cards.
Guin accessorized with gold jewelry and shoes to amp up the Las Vegas glamour in her wedding day style.

The couple had an outdoor garden arboretum wedding at Springs Preserve. "The venue completely surprised our friends and family with the non-Vegas feel of the preserve. It was almost like we had a destination wedding that happened to be in Vegas," says Guin.

Guin wore a simple and smooth white vintage gown with a deep v-neck for a classic, elegant look. She wore coral flowers in her hair for a pop of color to match the garden theme.
Galvanized metal buckets, wooden crates and burlap anchored texture-rich florals which included an organic blend of succulents, cacti, moss, privet berries, wheat and Queen Anne's Lace.

Guin strung bistro lights and paper lanterns to give a warm glow to the reception at Springs Preserve in Las Vegas.
For dessert, the couple skipped the traditional cake and did cupcakes in many flavors. It was a beautiful display decorated with a "Sweet Love" banner and tiny toothpick banners the bride made for the cupcakes.

The ultimate ceremony detail was a book of poems that Guin's father gave to her mother when they were newlyweds. The couple tied their wedding bands to the book for the "blessing of the rings" during the ceremony.
