A Fun Wedding at Wilderness Country Club in Naples, Florida
Alison Kelly (32 and an attorney) and Scott Hutchinson’s (28 and in finance) formal pink, purple and white wedding was filled with a few whimsical details that added a fun touch to their Wilderness Country Club venue - from the vine wedding arch to the golf-inspired cake topper. “We loved the idea of an outdoor golf course and country club wedding,” Alison says. “We planned the colors and themes to blend with bright green grass and blue sky.” Tonya Malay Photography was there to document the day, which started with a simple outdoor ceremony and ended with an indoor reception at Alison’s parents’ country club. Garden District-Naples lined the aisle with simple white flower petals that led to an accent: a voluminous double wedding arch. Bunches of curly willow stemmed from each of the four posts, as vines, bright purple roses, purple and white calla lilies, white roses, ivy and white hydrangeas were used as accents. The couple’s florist also designed fun centerpieces of tropical greenery with white and purple chrysanthemums . Another standout detail was the pink and white wedding cake baked by Mikkelsen's Pastry Shop. The three-tier confection featured white hydrangea and calla lilies along with pink rose petals and a golf-inspired topper. Each of the couple’s 160 guests enjoyed a piece before ending the night with a few snacks, including warm chocolate-chip cookies, cold milk shots and mini grilled-cheese bites. “Despite all the planning around the fabulous dinner, those were the menu items we still hear about,” Alison says.
