A Fun Sunday Brunch Wedding at a Chateau in Pacific, Missouri

Danielle and Erica wanted a unique, tradition-bending wedding all their own, and luckily, Erica was the right person for the job. She runs a small event planning business on the side, “so you can imagine planning our wedding was my cup of tea,” she says. Danielle and Erica put together an intimate, French-inspired garden party, infusing elements of their personalities throughout the day’s events, beginning with an uneven, mixed-gender wedding party at a ceremony officiated by Danielle’s father and ending with a mimosa-filled brunch, including a DJ. “Every detail should say something about the two of you,” Erica says.

The mauve and blue invitations mirrored the florals and included a custom crest used throughout the day. Erica, her mom and sisters created the seating chart display, made of a lush moss backdrop in a seven-foot gold frame Erica found and repurposed.  “I really wanted that romantic garden wedding feeling with whimsical, wild flowers,” Erica says. Arrangements included roses and dahlias, plus herbs and Queen Anne’s lace.

Unique arrangements, including moss-framed glass jars filled with votive candles, differed from table to table. Erica, a self-professed “sucker for neutrals” says that soft pink linens and herb accents offered subtle notes of color on the tables. “One of my favorite things about the wedding was the timing,” Erica says. “A brunch wedding meant a different vibe.” Guests sat down to a Sunday Funday meal of eggs benedict, omelets and, of course, mimosas.
