A Fun, Rustic Wedding at Bailey Springs in Chesterfield, Virginia
Michelle Taylor (25, retail manager) and Austin Taylor (25, machine operator) were good friends throughout high school. They got a dog together and began dating a year after graduating. They dated for seven years before Austin proposed to Michelle with a custom rod from his father's fishing rod factory that read "will you marry me?" Their rustic, outdoor wedding at Bailey Springs in Chesterfield, Virginia carried the fishing theme with a fish poster in lieu of a guest book, fishing hook boutonnieres, and a fun cake topper with a bride reeling in her groom. Michelle and Austin's DIY decor included an earthy wooden wedding arch and wood block table numbers, and their homemade favors were small vials of spices with the label "Seasoned with Love." Flower arrangements at the wedding consisted of pink and white roses, white hydrangeas, red hypercium berries, white chrysanthemums and dusty miller. Wedding fashions included Austin and the groomsmen in black tuxedos and the bridesmaids in different blush and champagne dresses. "I wanted elegance with a touch of southern charm," says Michelle. She herself looked radiant in a satin, mermaid style wedding dress from Alfred Angelo. Michelle and Austin's outdoorsy wedding was tons of fun for family and friends.
