A Fun, Relaxed Wedding at Swan Harbor Farm in Havre de Grace, Maryland

Colleen Sullivan (26 and a registered nurse) and Derek Kupferschmidt (26 and a civil engineer) met while they were attending Widener University. Derek asked Colleen out to their formal, to which she responded that she would only go if she found a dress. "Clearly, I found one!" she says. Derek proposed to Colleen on his grandmother's 91st birthday. This laid-back couple was married by the water at Swan Harbor Farm in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Their tented reception was beautifully illuminated with lanterns dangling from the canopy. Tables were adorned with burlap runners and milk glass vases filled with orange roses, red hypericum and white stock flowers. Escort cards consisted of oranges with "leaves" that had seating assignments written on them. On her wedding day, Colleen wore a beautiful beaded Casablanca gown with her mother's veil. Her bridesmaids wore vivid dresses in red, while the maids of honor wore champagne lace. Derek and his groomsmen sported black suits with orange ties. Guests enjoyed playing corn hole, dancing to music provided by the Dynasty DJs, and feasting on the buttercream wedding cake topped with an heirloom figurine from Colleen's grandmother. This fun and relaxed wedding was a beautiful celebration of Colleen and Derek's union.
