A Fun New Orleans and New York Inspired Wedding at the Tribeca Rooftop in New York City

Jennifer Toh (32 and a physician) and Mark Bonner (32 and an editor) met online through OkCupid.com. Within a year, the couple went on a vacation to Peru that ended with them moving in together. Mark proposed in August 2013 in New York City’s Grand Central Station. “I was shocked and delighted, but was even more surprised when we walked into the Four Seasons Restaurant to find the complete Toh and Bonner families waiting to celebrate with us!” says Jennifer. The couple were wed 10 months later on the Tribeca Rooftop in New York City. “Mark and I wanted a venue that felt like you were really in NYC versus all the venues that looked like a regular reception hall,” says Jennifer. “We knew that our guests would be coming from all over the country and the world would appreciate the NYC feel.” The couple also took their hometowns into account when planning the wedding. As Jennifer grew up in New York and Mark is from New Orleans, they incorporated both regions by choosing a New York City venue and incorporating traditions from Louisiana. Jennifer and Mark moved from their rooftop ceremony and cocktail hour to an indoor reception with the help of a Second Line. Complete with parasols, the couple and their guests paraded inside to the tunes of the Lucky Chops Brass Band.
