A Fun, Intimate Wedding at Dellwood Plantation in Chesterfield, Virginia

Priscilla Bryant (28, assistant director) and Christopher Bryant (26, manager) met in their high school Spanish class. Priscilla was immediately smitten. At field hockey practice, she mentioned how cute he was without realizing that the girl she was talking to was his girlfriend. Priscilla apologized, and over the next few years she and Chris became friends. They eventually dated throughout college and graduated sitting next to each other. Chris proposed to Priscilla on a cliff overlooking the ocean on a cruise to Bermuda. Chris and Priscilla decided to get married at the Dellwood Plantation because of its beauty and history and because it was all-inclusive. The wedding colors were eggplant purple, light gray and white with accents of pink and fuschia. Their invitations were white with purple font and floral watercolor corner borders. Decor included white petals lining the aisle at the outdoor ceremony, deep purple table linens and flower arrangements of white hydrangeas, pink carnations, roses and baby's breath. Bridesmaids wore floor length eggplant dresses with one shoulder necklines while Chris and the groomsmen wore gray tuxedos with purple ties and white rose boutonnieres. Priscilla wore a lace mermaid style wedding dress with spaghetti straps. Priscilla and Chris had a candy bar with bags for guests to take the candy home as favors. The wedding cake was a beautiful three tier cake with its tiers separated by pillars and pink and purple flowers for decor. This plantation wedding was a fun and sophisticated event celebrating the love of high school sweethearts.
