An Eclectic Wedding at San Carlos Institute in Key West, Florida

Jessica Munoz (29) and Marceliano Munoz (25) mixed tropical, Cuban-inspired and rustic details for an eclectic wedding filled with personal flair. "We both were so used to seeing the 'white weddings' every weekend that we knew we wanted something different," Jessica says. The couple started their day with a garden ceremony at Old Town Manor in Key West, Florida. As greenery and natural palm trees surrounded the space, only sleek silver lanterns were placed along the aisle. Each was surrounded by a bed of moss as white roses and more greenery accented its base. A matching, natural wedding arch with cascading stock flowers and pink peonies marked the altar space as Jessica's daughter, the bridesmaids and their dog, Murphy, made their processions. Marceliano and his groomsmen waited by the birch-wood accent in traditional Cuban Guayabera shirts. Jessica's entrance was sweet and gorgeous. She walked in with a stunning white-lace wedding dress by WTOO and short veil by Paloma Blanca. After the couple exchanged vows, they went with Munoz Photography to shoot a few pictures around Key West. Their guests moved indoors to the San Carlos Institute for a Cuban-inspired reception that acknowledged Marceliano's heritage. Complete with a cigar roller, mojo-marinated pork and seafood paella, the couple focused on creating a party atmosphere with multiple options for dinner and dessert. Jessica and Marceliano treated each guest to Elvis-inspired, raspberry Brie and classic s'mores as well as mini Key lime pies. After a few turns on the dance floor, all ended the night with a sparkler exit. For future couples, Jessica shares a tip: "Do what you want to do. It is about you and your fiance, not your family and what they want."
