A Fun Black-and-White Wedding at Galvez Restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana
Black-and-white was the ultimate color scheme at Nicole and Shawn's wedding - from the checkerboard dance floor to their different style black bridesmaid dresses, the couple put a fun spin on this classic color palette. The couple celebrated with an intimate courtyard ceremony at the Irish Cultural Museum and a fun indoor reception at Galvez Restaurant. Pops of gold and pink were the only standout hues as Weddings by Lulu helped the couple transform the space with striped black-and-white striped runners, black linens, gold chiavari chairs and just the right hint of pink with rose blooms atop black tea light candelabra centerpieces. Before the end of the night, Nicole, Shawn and their guests paraded through New Orleans with a brass band led Second Line tradition! "People still talk about it to this day," says Nicole. Lauren Carroll Photography was there to capture each moment as even the guests paraded down to Pat O'Brien's Bar in all-black attire! "We requested that our guest wear black as I read somewhere that it was a traditional Hispanic color for weddings," says Nicole. For Nicole and Shawn, their 33 guests made the day that much better. "Our wedding was small and intimate. I wouldn't trade it for anything as we really got to enjoy our weddings and our guests," she says.
