A Fresh, Intimate Wedding at The Seagate Beach Club in Delray Beach, Florida

Carly Winokur (30 and a health care analyst) and Josh Hershey's (33 and works in retail training) wedding boiled down to just three things: marriage, family and food. “That’s what mattered most,” Carly says. “We wanted our guests to feel as if they were coming to our home for a dinner party.” With the beach as their backdrop, Carly and Josh married in a Jewish ceremony sans wedding party. “Our wedding was so small that half of our guests would have been standing by the chuppah with us,” Carly says. Carly’s trailing bouquet included a verdant mix of jasmine vines, gardenias, olive, scabiosa pods and blue thistle. The bride walked down the aisle to Van Morrison’s “Astral Weeks." An antique bar, velvet furniture and upholstered chairs paired perfectly with terrariums and succulents for the couple’s desired “natural rustic” aesthetic. “We wanted our reception style to mirror our ideal home décor,” Carly says. “It was a little like Anthropologie on steroids.” The couple took their menu seriously, serving lobster mac and cheese, sushi and Key lime tartlets for dessert. “We didn’t want anyone getting hungry throughout the night,” Carly says. Signature cocktails included “his”—a pineapple and vodka drink—and “hers”—a wine aptly named Carly Rae Rosé.
