A Formal Romantic Wedding at Le Parker Meridien in New York, New York
Once Jennifer Horch (32 and a finance professional) and Dustin Schiavi (30 and an accountant) decided on a New York City wedding, they set out to ensure their celebration captured a sense of place. The Estrela Penthouse at Le Parker Meridien offered floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Central Park with a private terrace for outdoor mingling between the skyscrapers. Needless to say, it’s one of the best views of uptown Manhattan. Their wedding planner, Lisa Elias, helped coordinate all the activities inside the hotel—except for their heartfelt first look by Central Park. For their ceremony, By Yena Designs decorated the aisle with an ivory runner lined with pillar candles and rose petals, along with a draped backdrop filled glowing with string lights. Their altar was a standout: The Lucite wedding arch, surrounded by tall Lucite vases with round arrangements of roses and hydrangeas, gave the illusion that the ivory and blush flowers were floating midair. Donning her dream Vera Wang wedding dress, Jennifer exchanged vows with Dustin. The cocktail hour that followed featured two signature drinks: the I Do and the Happily Ever After. Their reception offered breathtaking city views, and as a nod to their wedding date (July 4), their photo booth on the terrace had sparklers. Meanwhile, Hank Lane Music had the guests dancing the night away. Kari Otero at 5th Avenue Digital Photographers captured the details of Jennifer and Dustin’s modern celebration, below.
