A Formal Beach Wedding at The Hyatt Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, California

Lauren was only joking when she stepped into a jewelery store to try on engagement rings while on vacation with her then boyfriend of a month, Andrew. When he asked what she was up to, she responded, “Nothing!” and quickly placed the ring that had caught her eye back on the counter to go and enjoy the day as a couple. Little did she know that later that night, Andrew would propose with the exact ring she was admiring. “Andrew was acting so strange — he was downing beers as soon as he'd get them at dinner,” Lauren says. “But he was saying the nicest things he'd ever said. As we were walking back to our hotel through the botanical garden, he turned me around and was down on one knee! It was definitely a whirlwind relationship!” The couple married in Las Vegas only two weeks later, but celebrated their wedding in Santa Barbara at The Hyatt with family and friends on their one year anniversary. Lush, blush roses mixed with cream peonies and hydrangeas created a romantic atmosphere against the gorgeous Southern California backdrop.
