A Food-Focused Wedding at a Family Vineyard in Sonoma, California

June Quan and Dan Tran hosted a winter-themed wedding at her parent's vineyard in Sonoma, California. "We love Christmas, but an outdoor wedding in Sonoma during Christmas would have been too chilly for our guests," June says. "Instead, we decided to have a winter wonderland in September!" The day started with gift exchanges for the wedding party, as well as a Chinese/Vietnamese tea ceremony. Then the couple wed under a giant willow tree. "This tree is not only beautiful, but it symbolizes our past, present and future. The willow represents our roots becoming one, stability, security, life, nurturing care and love, growth and the power of God," June explains. For their elegant reception, June and Dan kept the focus on the catering, since they both have careers in the food industry. The buffet included a taco bar, noodle bar, fried chicken stand and Dan's father's pho, which the bride claims is "literally my favorite in the whole entire world." A naked wedding cake with red filling satisfied everyone's sweet tooth after the big meal.
Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: "We did a traditional Chinese/Vietnamese tea ceremony with our family while wearing traditional dress," the couple says. "This is a tradition that has been passed down for generations in my family."
