A Flower-Filled Private Estate Microwedding in Baltimore, Maryland, With a Peach Color Palette
When Trisha and Jeff had their holiday pictures taken at a romantic private estate with a European aesthetic, the couple realized the space would be the perfect backdrop for their nuptials. "Oddly enough we had our Christmas pictures taken at the house and we loved the way that our home photographed," says Trisha. "It sparked the idea of 'hey why don't we just have our wedding here?' and then it all started coming together. I knew that I wanted to have a romantic whimsical feel that would blend well with the rustic feel of our French-style home. I wanted to stay in the neutral realm of colors with some pops of mauves and rusty colors." With their countryside estate to set the scene, Trisha and Jeff planned a romantic, flower-filled microwedding amid the pandemic with an ethereal color palette of peach, moss, and beige.
Lush floral arrangements were a key component in bringing the couple's dreamy Baltimore microwedding to life. "When we were on our preliminary call with our floral designer, I was explaining to her my vision for the florals and she said to me 'You want the house to look like it was abandoned and the greenery and flowers just started to take over the space.' That was it! I knew right then that she understood how important the florals were for our wedding," explains Trisha of the inspiration for the couple's overflowing botanicals. "The centerpiece on our dining table was so full with so much dimension, with pieces spilling out onto our plates. It was so natural and effortless looking it was exactly what I had imagined." To complement their floral arrangements, Trisha and Jeff's rental company built a greenery wall that further enhanced the venue's secret garden aesthetic.
A few other highlights from the intimate celebration included a delish grazing table for guests to snack from, romantic invitations that included a sketch of the couple's home and Trisha's grandfather serving as officiant, "which has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. He is so important to me and such an amazing man there was no one else we would rather have on our big day," says Trisha. To cap off the evening the couple even had a late-night ice cream truck come for guests to enjoy.
Looking back on their wedding, Trisha and Jeff encourage current to-be-weds to focus on investing in great photography and videography coverage. "I remember bits and pieces but the day went by so fast and just like that it's over. I look at our wedding pictures every single day! We recently got our wedding video back and it makes me cry every single time. I am so happy that we truly invested in those two things to have every day for the rest of our lives," says Trisha.
