A Flower-Filled Blush Wedding at Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate in Rancho Bernardo, California
Dyana and Elan's Jewish wedding celebration at Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate in Rancho Bernardo, California, was all about romance—from the color palette to the lush florals and the picturesque estate backdrop, the entire day exuded pure elegance. "Our wedding was such a dream and my inspiration came from all over," explains Dyana. "The vibe I was going for was basically a romantic garden wedding. I wanted it to be as romantic as possible with lots of candles and pretty florals. My color palette blended white, some different shades of blush, peach and some mauve. Also, we had a Jewish wedding and so we made sure to have a chuppah with some traditions such as breaking the glass and the hora."
Dreamy floral arrangements played a key role in bringing Dyana and Elan's wedding vision to life. Dyana recalls how the designs were "so delicate and romantic...exactly the way I wanted it. I love just soft pinks and peaches. It makes for just such a lovely garden look. I made sure that my bouquet had a little more white with some peonies and garden spray roses so that it could feel more 'bridal' while my bridesmaids had a mix of the color palette which turned out beautiful. They matched the florals perfectly without it looking too uniform. The chuppah was our backdrop that we decorated with white draping and filled with the gorgeous mix of florals. It had the perfect amount of white, blush, peach and mauve. And those florals matched the aisle pieces that were in the opening of the aisle as well as the centerpieces at the wedding reception later on, making the entire day feel cohesive." In addition to beautiful botanicals, Dyana and Elan filled their wedding day with personalization, including a menu of Russian dishes. "I don't think many people have tried Russian food so it was fun to provide this more special tasty food. Everyone loved it," says Dyana.
Looking back on their wedding at Carmel Mountain Ranch Estate in Rancho Bernardo, California, Dyana emphasizes how important it was for the couple to find vendors that matched their vision and then commit to those pros. She advises current to-be-weds to not "contact too many vendors! It's easy to get overwhelmed that way and be unable to make a decision." Instead, she encourages doing some research, but ultimately trusting your gut so that second-guessing doesn't overtake your wedding planning process.
