A Sophisticated Flower-Filled Wedding at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens in Belmont, North Carolina

With bold shades of pink, orange, yellow and green, this wedding was a flower-filled garden fete with a sophisticated twist. A mix of friends and family from their homes in England and Nigeria joined Nicki Allen (32 and a director of project management) and Brian Nwokedi (30 and a director of financial analysis) a year after they were legally married in City Hall to celebrate their first year of marriage, and we can't believe how gorgeous it was. Knowing they would need help bringing their vision to life, Nicki and Brian enlisted the help of Elizabeth at Hall and Webb Event Design. “If you get married in Charlotte and don’t work with Elizabeth at Hall and Webb Event Design you are making a huge mistake,” Nicki says. “She was everything we could have asked for and more. She is very organized, has great artistic vision, loves good food and is so intuitive to her client’s needs. We are lucky to now call her a friend.” The overgrown garden theme was perfect at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens in Belmont, North Carolina, since the White Garden reminded Nicki of her grandmother's walled English rose garden. The naturally stunning space needed very little decoration, and Todd Crawford from the Blossom Shop nailed everything, from the towering aisle decor to the textured bouquets and the lush garland centerpieces. There's so much to love about Nicki and Brian's day—see all our favorite details, beautifully captured by the Schultzes, below.
