"Our wedding was more beautiful than I anything I could have ever imagined,” says bride Jordan of marrying Greg at the Southwest School of Art in San Antonio, Texas. “I’m originally from Texas, and my husband is originally from Connecticut.” Jordan says. “We now live in New York City. I have quite a bit of family in the San Antonio area and attended Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas, for many summers growing up, so San Antonio has always felt like a second home. With so many guests traveling to Texas for their first time, we wanted a place that could deliver an authentic Texas experience.” Settling on a south-of-the-border theme, the two looked to succulents, bold florals and a vibrant color scheme to bring their wedding vision to life. The venue, located on the San Antonio River, also helped bring the festive theme to life. “Our wedding felt like Texas at its best: inviting, celebratory and comfortable,” Jordan says. —Ginger Harris

Jordan put her trust in Tricia Hamil of Viridian to create the look and feel of her wedding, which included Texas-native florals. "It felt so organic and elegant," Jordan says of pairing fiesta-inspired hues colors with plenty of greenery.
"My gown was lace with a beautiful tiering detail in the back. My favorite part about the dress was the color," Jordan says. The ivory lace lay atop tan lining, which made the lace pop. Her veil was a family heirloom, previously worn by her mother, aunt and two cousins.

"Greg wore a classic black shawl-collared tuxedo," Jordan says. "He lost his beloved grandfather a few months before the wedding but wore his tuxedo studs that day. He also wore a pair of vintage, mother-of-pearl cuff links that I gave him on his first birthday we spent together." On his lapel, he wore Texas-themed florals.

Jordan and Greg wed in the courtyard of the Southwest School of Art in San Antonio, Texas. "Greg, the officiant and I stood under the veranda, where beautiful curtains hung behind us that were lined with gorgeous flowers," she says.
Bold, beautiful centerpieces in both short and tall heights helped bring the fiesta theme to life.
The couple created a beautiful lounge area spread out across the courtyard area, in addition to a cigar and whiskey bar for guests to enjoy.
"We had a variety of agua fresca spiked with vodka, which served as our signature cocktail. The watermelon flavor was a crowd favorite," Jordan says. The bold colors of the drinks also worked with the theme.
"The theme that we worked with from the beginning was luxe fiesta," Jordan says. "It spoke to the idea of Texas hospitality and celebrating the beautiful cultures that made San Antonio what it is today."
"The mariachi music was definitely a highlight of the cocktail hour," Jordan says. "They were fantastic." They also helped transition from the the ceremony to the fiesta.
"We had an avocado bar, a street taco station, a biscuit bar—excellent authentic Mexican food," Jordan says.
Making the most of their Texas theme, Jordan and Greg opted for a cigar and whiskey bar with an array of whiskeys, as well as a man rolling cigars. "It was a very popular place all night," Jordan says.
A fiesta calls for more than just one dessert, which is why Jordan and Greg opted for a dessert station, packed with treats for their guests.
