A Festive Latin Wedding at The Payne-Corley House in Duluth, Georgia

Elena Gutierrez (28 and a social worker) and Daniel Rosales (33 and an engineer) met in college at an event hosted by Elena's sorority. The two quickly became best friends and began to date soon after Daniel made the move from Florida to Georgia, where Elena was living. For their seven year anniversary, the couple headed to Puerto Rico for a relaxing vacation full of sun, sand and fun. "Before the trip, I had a feeling that the proposal was coming, but I didn't expect it to happen as soon as we got to the hotel," says Elena. "While we were sitting on the balcony, enjoying the view, Daniel started to talk about our future together. He eventually told me that he had talked to my parents and asked for their blessing. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes and we enjoyed our vacation as a newly-engaged couple!"The couple planned a fun, festive event full of bright colors, romantic touches and South American traditions for a bit of personal flavor. The couple opted for a color palette of bright aqua green and pale blush to celebrate the summer season, while maintaining a romantic vibe. Flower arrangements of blush roses and eucalyptus introduced a soft, romantic note to the decor and the inclusion of candlelight into the centerpieces added a warm ambient glow to the elegant ball room setting. To get the guests in the mood to celebrate, the couple had a photo booth stocked with silly props and surprised guests with an "hora loca" (crazy hour) complete with dancers, a nod to Daniel's South American heritage.
