A mix of vintage accents and subtle touches of peach, gold and ivory created a shabby-chic feel for Megan and Spencer's afternoon wedding in Pittsboro, NC.

We had a surprise first dance for my parents, who were unable to have one 30 years ago when they were married, Megan says. It's safe to say there was not a dry eye in the room, especially my own!
The bride wore an ivory, trumpet-style Alvina Valenta gown with a sweetheart neckline. The pleating along the bust and the hem gave the dress the texture Megan was looking for.
Vintage props and a retro backdrop made for a fun photobooth at the wedding.
The bride and groom's chairs at the reception were decorated with handmade wreaths and Mr. and Mrs. signs.
Megan and Spencer made their getaway on a 1970s tandem bike after the bride changed into a knee-length gown from the '50s and lace bike shorts.
White ruffles, fondant beading and pastel flowers gave Megan and Spencer's gluten-free cake a romantic look.
The couple wanted soft colors like gold and peach in their wedding day, but texture was just as important. They used natural fibers, fabrics, wood and metallics to add interest to their decor.
A large antique chalkboard was used to tell guests what to expect for reception seating as well as food and drink options.
The reception included a buffet-style brunch with stations for cheese and charcuterie, breakfast and beef.
To add just a hint of color to her look, Megan wore an elbow-length, bouffant veil with a peach tint.
The bride wanted her bridesmaids bouquets to have more color than hers, so she chose arrangements of garden roses, anemones, lisianthuses and ranunuculuses in peach, light green and white.
Right before the ceremony, Spencer sent a gift to his bride. Inside the gold wrapping? An iPad with a pre-recorded video of the groom telling Megan how excited he was for the wedding.
Vintage white French doors decorated the start of the outdoor ceremony aisle. “The doors were used to symbolize my father walking me into my new life with Spencer, and this was such a sweet moment for us, Megan says.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet with pastel succulents, garden roses and ranunculuses.
Megan wanted different textured dresses for all her bridesmaids, so she sent each a floral artist’s journal with fabric scraps as guides.
Spencer and his groomsmen wore matching light brown dress shoes from H&M with dark blue slacks.
The bride chose gold flats with French lace over the toe to add texture to her ensemble.
The couple found Megan's 1920s white gold illusion setting at a small jeweler in Michigan. We love that the ring has a story before us, the bride says. It was perfect and it’s even more special to us because we found it together.
Shades of ivory, textured papers and metallic accents set the relaxed but chic style for the wedding.
