A Fall Wedding at Willow Creek Ranch in Cleburne, Texas

California native Jessica Novotny (27 and a director of business development) had always dreamed of getting married outside. And after moving to Texas to be with John Kane (30 and an environmental engineer), she acclimated with the laid-back Texas way and fell in love with the idea of a ranch wedding at Willow Creek Ranch in Cleburne, Texas. From there, she went all out, creating a true ranch celebration complete with tons of Texas flavor: a biscuit truck, a pie station, vintage typewriters and a grand sparkler-filled exit. Jessica's vision for the day—a rustic, Texas ranch wedding with a luxurious twist—meant featuring antique and handcrafted items. "Although I had Marcy Blum and Todd Fiscus helping me, I wanted to add in elements of John and me," Jessica says. "I wanted my guests to look at things and say, 'I bet Jess made that.' " Inspired by her November wedding date, Jessica chose a deep oxblood color similar to Marsala (Pantone color of 2015) for her primary hue. She accented it with hints of gold, ivory and peach, so it really popped. "Todd [Fiscus of Todd Events] and I are good friends, but this was the first chance we'd ever had to collaborate on an event," says planner Marcy Blum, who knows the bride's family well. "His flowers were extraordinary and took the barn from rustic to enchanted."
