A Fall-Inspired Wedding at Renault Winery in Galloway, New Jersey

Katie Huenke (28 and a teacher) and Gary Dooner’s (28 and a waste water technician) walk down the aisle was a long time in the making. Not only did they attend the same middle school and high school, their families were good friends and many a summer were spent together camping. They fell out of touch after graduation, but in 2011, Katie and Gary reconnected after Gary sent her message on Facebook asking her to meet up. Ever since that meeting, the couple has been inseparable. A year later, Gary popped the question on Katie’s birthday with a surprise scavenger hunt at his parent’s home. “I had no idea what was happening, but just thought he was making things fun for me,” says Katie. “The very last present was a ring. I was so surprised that I didn't even see him get down on one knee! I of course said yes through several giggles!”Having gotten engaged in the fall, a November wedding seemed like the perfect fit for Katie and Gary. The entire day played tribute to the season, starting with a burnt orange, persimmon and gray color palette that added a bright autumnal flair to everything from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the wedding cake, flowers and invitations. Pumpkins, mums and lanterns were key elements in the decor, bringing Katie’s fall scene to life. After a traditional ceremony at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, where generations of Katie’s family have been married, the couple whisked their guests off to the Renault Winery in Galloway, NJ for a night of dinner and dancing. Katie and Gary served up a mouthwatering menu of Renault Winery’s award-winning food and blueberry champagne, giving guests their fill before hitting the dance floor. "I come from a family who likes to party, so a good DJ was important to us," says Katie. "Over The Top Entertainment really knew how to get the party started and kept everyone dancing all night long!"
