Emily Poland (32 and in government public affairs) and Ian Tuck (29 and in government budgeting) met during a work training and went on many "friend dates" before officially starting their relationship. During their time together, the pair took a trip to Asheville, North Carolina and fell in love with everything about the city. Ian surprised Emily with another trip back to downtown Asheville but this time he proposed during a picnic overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. The couple wanted to share their love for such a meaningful city and planned an outdoor ceremony at Pack Square Park followed by a rustic reception at Pack's Tavern. "We really wanted to highlight everything about downtown Asheville for our wedding," says Emily. "The city is vibrant with neat shops, restaurants and people, so having it in the heart of downtown was the best idea!" Inspired by their fall wedding date, the couple went with a blush, deep red and sage green color palette. Votive candles and mercury glass vases filled with clusters of baby's breath decorated the relaxed celebration and romantic arrangements of dahlias, roses, garden roses, ranunculus and sweet peas accented with green foliage enhanced the seasonal feel.

After getting engaged inAsheville, the Emily and Ian decided to share this special town with all of their family and friends, and hosted a downtown fall wedding.
