A Downtown Courthouse Elopement in Charleston, South Carolina

After chatting on Match.com, Drew Young (35 and an engineer) set up a wine date for Sherry Maisonpierr (30 and a human resource specialist) at Folly Beach. They spent hours talking and realized pretty quickly that they shared a deep connection. The pair became serious early on and Drew proposed on New Year's Day with a champagne pop-top. Four months later, the spontaneous couple decided to elope at the Charleston courthouse followed by a day of celebrating downtown. After exchanging vows, the bride changed into a simple strapless lace gown that she had already purchased, and the pair posed for pictures before lunch at Magnolias and dinner at McCrady’s. "I love that we chose to make the day all about us," says Sherry. "We were sad not to have our immediate family there to help us celebrate, but in the end, it's about celebrating the new journey together!"
