A DIY Rustic Winter Wedding at Bear Creek Lodge in McCall, Idaho
Bryanna Berish (25 and a registered nurse) and Matthew Woodington (30 and a veterinarian) didn’t want to wait a year to get married, so, they had an intimate winter elopement at Bear Creek Lodge with 18 of their closets friends and family. Although they exchanged vows on Christmas Eve, they didn’t want their wedding to feel like Christmas. They used a green and white color palette with pops of red in the cranberry accents. Bryanna and Matthew made the rustic winter invitations themselves with alpine tree and snow stamps on brown paper. For the actual ceremony, Bryanna wore a classic David Tutera A-line wedding dress with her grandmother's fur stole, but Bryanna also had a glamorous sparkly gold Badgley Mischka sheath dress for the occasion! Flora McCall created the gorgeous cascading bridal bouquet with white roses, tulips, orchids, silver brunia and pine for the occasion, which matched the winter theme perfectly. The reception tables were decorated with white pillar candles in salt to look like snow accented with cranberries, pine and pinecones. Hanging above the table were glass Christmas ornaments filled with white glitter to also look like snow. Bear Creek Lodge catered lunch, and Bryanna’s sister made the delicious two-tier white buttercream cake topped with pinecones and adorned with cranberries on each layer.
