A DIY-Inspired Wedding at Granlibakken Tahoe in Tahoe City, California

Fay Chang (35, and a graphic design student) and Scott Redick's (42, a creative strategy managing director) goal for their wedding was to create something more participatory for everyone involved and to celebrate the creative talent of their friends. "Our wedding was really a labor of love with creative contributions from our friends and family," Fay explains. "Our friends who recently started Harmonic Brewing provided their awesome beer. And we had a group of dedicated friends flipping burgers for us. A group of my girlfriends stayed up into the wee hours of the night crafting and DIY-ing alongside me. And Scott's band GROWLER performed a special four song set!" The couple chose a color palette of various shades of blue and teal (Fay's favorite colors) accented with gold, pinks, corals, and oranges. Fay wore a comfortable Rue de Seine dress, while Scott wore a Hugo Boss gray suit. The ceremony and reception were held at Granlibakken at Lake Tahoe—the couple loves the area and have spent a few winters there together. The ceremony and the reception were both held outdoors, surrounded the gorgeous scenery of the area.
