A DIY Garden Wedding at St. Francis Barracks in St. Augustine, Florida
Kelly, 26, and Clay, 26, had a simple wedding covered with personal accents in the historic district of St. Augustine, Florida. With the stone wall garden and tented reception of St. Francis Barracks as their backdrop, the couple worked to ensure that their day was "perfect." Blush, white and charcoal gray served as their wedding colors. Kelly handmade all the floral arrangements out of white hydrangea and baby's breath two days prior to the wedding! Dressed in blush pink floor-length dresses and black suits, Kelly and Clay were married with their twelve person wedding party by their side. Their dog, Dupont, was also in line as the ring bearer. He wore a charcoal gray tie crafted by Kelly. After the ceremony, the couple had the song for their first dance sung to them by Clay's Best Man and groomsmen. Their 80 guests enjoyed a dinner of baked ziti, lemon chicken, grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes. Next on the menu was the couple's cupcake wedding cake, each topped with a pink DIY sign. After a festive sparkler exit, all guests were invited to follow Kelly and Clay to their favorite pub. "Our entire wedding was perfect. It was a no fuss, simple yet elegant event, exactly what we wanted," says Kelly.
