A DIY Garden Party Wedding at Empire Hall in St. Louis, Missouri

Lauren, 30, a TV commercial producer, and Jon, 30, a TV commercial cameraman, met in the hallway of a private school in Seoul, South Korea, through mutual friends. They were both there to teach in the private school. He proposed with his mother’s original engagement ring from Jon’s father. Lauren wears it, Jon’s mother’s wedding band and an additional band that was Lauren’s grandmother’s from 1935. Lauren and Jon had a very alternative wedding with unique details. Lauren wore a blush wedding dress with a full purple petticoat underneath that was her grandmother’s when she square danced. The ceremony violinist only played music from Jurassic Park. Lauren’s aunt baked the colorful, sprinkled wedding cakes. But each detail reflected who they are as a couple. With shades of pink, purple and green, they threw a fun and quirky garden party-themed soiree.
