A DIY Fall Wedding at Peace and Plenty Farms in Union Bridge, Maryland

Brittany Golden (25, baker) and Davis Schwartzbeck (26, dairy farmer) met through mutual friends and got close quickly. They dated for five years before Davis proposed to Brittany in their home with a round cut diamond ring with a split setting. The couple was married at Peace and Plenty Farms in Union Bridge, Maryland, where Davis grew up. They kept their fall wedding's color palette with shades of gray and white with orange accents. Brittany and Davis were able to get many of their wedding flowers from neighbors' farms, and their wedding was gorgeous with flower arrangements of hydrangeas, hypercium berries, lilies, carnations, roses and baby's breath. They also used orange and white pumpkins throughout their decorations, some of which they monogrammed. The outdoor ceremony was conducted under a wooden arch decorated with white and orange blooms. The following cocktail hour was held outdoors in the lovely fall weather, after which the reception was held in a nearby tented area. The bridesmaids looked airy in floor length dresses of various styles and shades of gray. The rugged groomsmen wore gray vests paired with plaid ties, jeans and boutonnieres made out of shotgun shells and filled with hypercium. Davis wore a gray blazer from Men's Warehouse with his jeans, and Brittany wore a strapless silk ball gown with a rhinestone encrusted belt by Allure Bridal. The wedding festivities ended with an extensive dessert bar, a chocolate praline wedding cake covered in whip cream, and a heartwarming father-daughter dance with bride and her father. Brittany and Davis' truly rustic wedding was a group effort, and it definitely paid off.
