A Destination Wedding at Secrets Playa Mujeres in Cancun, Mexico

As avid travelers and beach lovers, Lucia Maffucci (31 and a marketing communications manager) and Ken Gross (24 and a project engineer) knew right away they wanted to have a nautical wedding, and Secrets Playa Mujeres in Cancun, Mexico, was a gorgeous destination to make it happen. Their top reason? Instead of a limited celebration, Lucia and Ken wanted to spend quality time with 36 of their loved ones at an all-inclusive resort, and we can’t blame them. Their alfresco celebration unfolded at Secrets Playa Mujeres with a beach backdrop, which they decorated in a crisp white palette with navy and fuchsia accents. They exchanged their vows at a waterfront gazebo surrounded by their loved ones, exactly as they envisioned. Following “I do,” a pink drink welcomed guests to their alfresco reception. As the sun set, an eye-catching light-up dance floor brought guests out of their seats to dance the night away with the DJ’s party mixes.
