A Destination Wedding at Jake's Hotel in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica

Emily Armstrong (36 and a public relations professional) and Brent Dunn (32 and a marketing professional) had a destination wedding in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica—the beaches are beautiful, Emily has traveled there many times, and they felt like staying in a cottage in a tropical paradise, so why not? Their wedding was laid-back from start to finish, completely focused on them and their 50 guests. Their invitations were postcards (hello, destination wedding), and they gave their guests a welcome bag upon arrival. Jake’s Hotel in Treasure Beach was the perfect, off-the-beaten path location for their celebration, which began with a short beach ceremony. They kept dinner casual, with rustic, beachy decor including lots of driftwood and local tropical flowers, and served Jamaican specialties including jerk chicken, cod fritters, crab cakes, curried kingfish and coconut pie.
