A Destination Wedding at El Dorado Seaside Suites in Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Amanda Manning (33 and a massage therapist) and Scott Lee (31 and a small business consultant) met through mutual friends at a charity event and began dating a few months later. About a year and a half later, Amanda caught a red-eye flight home from a trip to Las Vegas and was trying to get some sleep when Scott popped the question. In disbelief and half-asleep, Amanda said, “Sure, I have to see the ring first.” When Scott told her to open her eyes, there was a marquise cut diamond ring… and of course, she said yes! The couple knew they wanted a destination wedding at an all-inclusive location, so they chose the El Dorado Seaside Suites in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. “We wanted it to be a vacation for our family and friends as well as a celebration of us spending the rest of our lives together,” says Amanda. The couple kept their wedding intimate, with only their parents as their wedding party. Bright flowers and decor in orange, pink, teal, red and white accented the minimal, casual beach atmosphere. “Our guests loved the location and had just as much fun as we did,” says Amanda. “We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding experience.”
