A Cozy Cabin Wedding at Leatherwood Mountains Resort in Ferguson, North Carolina

While planning their September nuptials in Ferguson, North Carolina, Katie Beam (27 and a stay-at-home mom) and Kyle Miller (32 and an operations manager) fell in love with a quaint locale close to home. In fact, the equestrian-loving couple planned a country celebration at a cozy cabin in the woods. "As soon as we saw the space, we fell in love," Katie says of booking Leatherwood Mountains Resort for their "I dos." One of the bride's favorite decor details included a chandelier made from lanterns draped in hanging amaranths. For a personalized touch, the couple's tiered cake was displayed on a wood log bearing their names and wedding date. Bridesmaids carried textured bouquets of antique hydrangeas, kangaroo paws, seeded eucalyptus and calla lilies, while centerpieces were housed in hollowed-out logs.
