A Country Waterfront Wedding at Stone Creek Inn in Rockmart, Georgia

High school sweethearts Ashley Bitner (25 and a teacher) and Aaron Collins (25 and a nurse) tied the knot after getting engaged during a rustic mountain getaway. "We headed out for dinner and on the front porch of our cabin hung a beautiful, rustic handmade jewelry holder which was sentimental because for every holiday, Aaron would build me beautiful pieces of furniture and paint a little love note or his signature on them," says Ashley. "On this jewelry holder, he had wood burned 'Will you marry me?' and was on one knee when I turned around!" The pair exchanged vows at Stone Creek Inn in Rockmart, Georgia. "We loved the rustic elements that our venue offered," says Ashley. "It had and an outdoor patio that overlooked the beautiful river and many guests relaxed or ventured the beautiful gardens during the reception." The intimate ceremony took place in the waterfront meadow and the groom built custom barn doors for Ashley to walk through when she entered the ceremony as well as a rustic grapevine arbor. The rustic DIY decor was enhanced with a color palette of light pink, blues and beige. Blue mason jars filled with baby's breath as well as twine-wrapped wine bottles and soft hydrangeas decorated the relaxed day. "I wanted a very light, airy, rustic feel to our wedding," says Ashley. "We both love nature and the rustic appeal that the outdoors offers."
