A Country-Inspired Backyard Wedding at a Private Residence in Bend, Oregon
Abigail Landon (24 and a student at Western Governors University) and Quinton Smith (26 and an Internet entrepreneur) wed in front of 250 guests at Abigail’s family home outside Bend, Oregon. The day followed a rustic, crafty aesthetic and focused on the setting’s natural beauty. “We both wanted the flexibility to be creative with ideas and sort of plan around what we wanted, so the idea of a cozy, backyard setting seemed perfect,” Abigail says. “My parents’ house is between the cities of Bend and Sisters, so the grounds offered a rustic theme to play with.” Using a subtle palette of warm pink, violet and ivory, Abigail and Quinton followed a vintage and country-inspired look, using decor details like mason jars and burlap. “We have a lot of memories of camping and hunting trips and growing up in central Oregon,” Abigail says. “I just wanted to enjoy the scenery and put a bit of twang in our special day, especially in a place like Bend, where I always feel at home.” —Carolyn Meers
