A Country-Chic Wedding at Olde Dobbin Station in Montgomery, Texas

Malori Rogers (27 and a 2nd grade teacher) and Blake Lynd (26 and an account manager) hung out in the same group of friends in high school, but never dated. It wasn’t until after college that both of their best friends got them together and sparks flew. On a freezing weekend getaway to Malori’s family’s ranch in Llano, Texas, Blake popped the question on top of the highest point on the land. The wedding festivities took place at the Olde Dobbin Station in Montgomery, Texas, an abandoned train station turned wedding venue that the couple found and fell in love with. The rustic, country-chic style wedding called for a neutral color palette and cowboy boots all around, including the bride, who wore them with her lace, mermaid style wedding dress. The reception was held in the same warm, romantic location as the ceremony with the DJ, Mark Klentzman, playing the piano and singing light jazz to serenade guests during dinner. Instead of a guest book, the couple had a Guest Bench that their guests would sign and create something that would be part of their home. In return, Malori and Blake gave their friend and family Texas-shaped ornaments to decorate their own homes with a memento from the couple’s big day.
