A Country Barn Wedding at Herot Hall Farm in Kenna, West Virginia
Meredith Caplinger (25 and in ministry) and Chris Caplinger (26 and in ministry) knew they wanted to base their natural country theme around a barn setting. "In Kenna, [West Virginia], there's a blueberry and blackberry farm called Herot Hall," Meredith says. "It's right on top of a mountain and the views around us were incredible." The barn and surrounding property had just been remodeled when Meredith and Chris planned their wedding, so everything looked new. Beautiful white invitations with purple floral accents gave guests a glimpse into the fall wedding. Pops of yellow added warm accents to the farm setting—from the sunflower bouquets accented with baby's breath to Chris's polka-dot bow tie and craspedia boutonniere. The bridesmaids also rocked the yellow with their short vibrant dresses, paired with brown cowboy boots to add some rustic-chic flair. The reception took place inside the barn, where yellow sunflower centerpieces propped up on wooden slabs decorated dining tables draped in burlap and lace . The impressive variety of desserts (many of which were homemade) had our mouths watering, ranging from colorful cake pops to iced cupcakes and, of course, the wedding cake—a four-tier delight wrapped with burlap at the bottom of each layer, topped with Willow Tree figurines.
