A Coral Wedding at Sundara in Boones Mill, Virginia

Jessica Hurd (28 and an emergency registered nurse) and Ryan Hurd (33 and a refrigeration mechanic) wanted their wedding decor to echo the sunset. They chose a palette of coral, peach, pink and ivory with gray accents to capture that essence. George's Flowers, a Roanoke, Virginia-based florist shop, took Jessica and Ryan's inspiration and ran with it. They used coral hybrid roses (also the first flowers that Ryan ever bought Jessica) as the main flowers at the outdoor wedding at Sundara in Boones Mill, Virginia. Mason jars filled with coral and ivory roses lined the ceremony aisle, and at the end of the aisle stood a rustic wooden arch covered in garlands of roses and greens. At the following reception, dining tables were topped with low coral and ivory rose centerpieces, and Jessica and her bridesmaids carried similar bouquets accented with ranunculus. Jessica and Ryan's decor perfectly suited their venue: Sundara's lush green lawns were the perfect backdrop for the bright coral colors, and the tented reception was beautifully illuminated with string lights lining the tent's pink and white canopy. As wedding favors, Jessica and Ryan gave their guests individually wrapped homemade cookies. And for a twist on the recessional, the couple danced up the aisle as husband and wife to "Happy" by Pharrell Williams. Lori Hedrick Photography captured the day.
