Sarah Montgomery (31 and a lawyer) and Tyler Lewis (31 and an investment manager) met at a black tie charity event in Boston, Massachusetts. Although their first date didn't occur until a few weeks later, they immediately realized they didn't want to spend anymore time apart. Tyler planned a special engagement in Sarah's hometown of Little Compton, Rhode Island, inviting their parents and sibling to wait in a restaurant while he proposed at the end of the dock. This romantic seaside proposal set the tone for Sarah and Tyler's elegant wedding. In the backyard of a private oceanside residence, a stone wall lined a path for guests to the ceremony where tall standing floral arrangements marked the altar. During the cocktail hour, guests dined at vegetable and cheese stations and enjoyed a classic New England raw oyster bar. Sarah and Tyler set a contemporary, classic scene with luscious a luscious green and white color palette that accentuated the natural outdoor setting and tables were set with reflective plates and bright settings for more contemporary touches. A live band played through the dinner of filet mignon and halibut and quickly embraced the dance scene as guests worked up an appetite for late night pizza and cocktails.

The couple designed a pocket-sized map of Little Compton with their favorite restaurants and activities. The map also listed the weekend events, including a Friday night welcome party at a local restaurant, a family picnic on Saturday, and Sunday brunch back under the tent.
Simple Ribbon Wrapped Programs
Both the bride and grooms sister were bridesmaids and wore champagne and silver lace Jenny Yoo dresses. They did not have traditional wedding parties, but instead had their family by their sides.
Green and White Floral Arrangements at the Altar
As for special touches at the wedding, Sarah and Tyler had colorful shawls to keep the ladies warm, and green fleece blankets for extra warmth by the fire pits after the reception.
After Tyler, his family and Sarah's mother and sister had walked down the aisle, her father drove her down to the stone wall in a golf cart, and then walked her down the aisle. It was a fun and unique entrance!

Orchids, Herbs, Berries and Spider Mum Centerpieces
The tall standing cake was designed with the same natural, luscious color palette in mind. A classic white frosting layered in dark ribbon stripes was accented by bright green flowers similar to ones seen throughout the reception.
This bride and groom are not your typical couple and did not have a typical first dance. To show of their fun flair outside of the elegant theme, Sarah and Tyler had a laugh with a crazy swing dance!
