A Contemporary Music City Wedding at The Bell Tower in Nashville, Tennessee
Amy Meiners and Brandon Deaton put a Nashville-centric twist on their romantic, contemporary wedding with a menu and music that exuded Music City vibes. “We wanted the venue, the food and the music to reflect the vibrant city we call home, and we wanted to share those special things with our out-of-town guests,” Amy says. The Bell Tower, a historic church turned concert venue, set the tone for the swinging soiree with its exposed beams, upper level mezzanine and rich history. Fairy lights, panels of airy fabric and a color palette of blush, dusty rose and gold softened the modern venue, with mercury glass votives and vases introducing a subtle vintage vibe. “Nashville is known as the Music City, and we were very picky when it came to choosing a band,” Amy says. “We wanted a band with a horn section and great vocals that could really get people on the dance floor. Our band did not disappoint!” Sticking with the Southern theme, the couple had a bourbon tasting room that guests could visit while taking a break from the dance floor, and the dessert table featured Southern favorites such as buckeyes and pecan bars. As a fun surprise, Amy had temporary tattoos made of Brandon’s face and nickname. “A group of us secretly snuck away mid-reception to put them on and then slowly revealed the tattoos to Brandon one by one,” Amy says. “His mug shot kept popping up on people’s arms, shoulders, backs and necks. They were definitely a hit!”
