A Contemporary Mountain Wedding at Beaver Creek Resort in Avon, Colorado

A remote cabin and a grove of Aspen trees set the stage for James and Logan's “mountain contemporary” wedding in Beaver Creek. The couple played up their cozy locale by sourcing every single detail from local vendors. Stationery (including RSVP cards which simply read: "You in or what?"), signage and menus were stamped with a custom illustration of a mountain range. “We wanted our wedding to reflect the spirit of Colorado,” James says.   Both grooms wore bespoke blue suit jackets that were anything but basic. “Our jackets were lined with silk-print photos of our travels together,” James says. The couple further customized their look by stitching their wedding monogram on each jacket, along with the words, “Today I marry my best friend” in embroidery. Immediately after their first kiss, James was in for a surprise. “Logan asked our DJ to mix a recessional song that started with the wedding march, only to be interrupted by a medley of Kelis, Beyoncé and the theme from The Golden Girls,” he says. “The song had everyone laughing and ready to party.”
