A Contemporary and Bright Multicultural Wedding at Mason Fine Art in Atlanta, Georgia

Cobalt-blue linens, vibrant marigolds and plenty of fresh fruit lent a pop of color to Anita Krishnan (30 and a doctor of physical therapy) and Weston Reid's (33 and a video game developer) contemporary gallery venue. With jasmine flowers in her hair, Anita wed Weston in a fusion ceremony focused on blending Hindu and Indian traditions with Southern Baptist customs. “We wanted our guests to see that it was possible to bring two families and cultures together while keeping true to ourselves as a couple,” Anita says. Weston put a twist on Hindu tradition by riding in the back of a hot-pink Cadillac during his groom’s processional, or baraat. Shortly after sealing the deal under a mandap draped with swaths of ivory fabric, Anita swapped her traditional red silk sari for an embellished satin lehenga. Bridesmaids donned coral chiffon dresses, and Weston ditched his cobalt-blue sherwani for a classic blue and black tuxedo.
