Kristen De Guzman (31 and a financial analyst) and Kevin Agorrilla (31 and a business systems analyst) wanted a fun and comfortable experience for their guests, so they aimed for playful punches. A rainbow of vibrant colors and bold black-and-white stripes colored the modern event, and Kristen’s rose and anemone bouquet exemplified the day’s vibrant shades. The courtyard ceremony included ghost chairs, a crisp green turf aisle runner (hinting at Kevin’s love of golf) and a polished wood altar piece topped with the couple’s initials. The pair's two Australian cattle dog mixes sported flower collars and served as the ring bearers. Guests signed a PAC-MAN-themed poster instead of a guest book and, during cocktail hour, a strolling magician surprised them with close-up tricks. Dinner, with each course served in martini glasses, brought more unexpected fun. They tried specialty poke, fried chicken and waffle skewers with spicy maple syrup, lobster risotto and boba tea for dessert. Channeling their sense of humor, the couple sent guests home with fortune cookies that read “the fortune you seek is in another cookie.”
