A Colorful Wedding at Miromar Lakes, Florida, That Was All About Lemons

Since Christina's family is originally from Sicily, she and Michael chose to draw inspiration from Italy when it came time to plan their wedding. "The inspiration behind our wedding was Italy. We love southern Italy and wanted our wedding to be bright and colorful like the beautiful flowers of Italy. We incorporated lemon into the décor as a nod to Sicily where my family originated in Italy," she shares. In order to achieve the vibrant, joyful aesthetic they envisioned, floral décor was integral. "We wanted a bright, colorful and cheerful wedding and we illustrated that with the flowers we chose. The colors were pinks, oranges and bright yellows and fruits such as lemons and kumquats in our bouquets and centerpieces." Not only did the décor elements of the wedding nod to Italy, the couple's menu did, too. "We have a dog, Luigi and we named our specialty cocktail after him and his favorite toy, Mario. The Luigi was an Aperol Spritz, and the Mario was a Limoncello Spritz," they share.
