A Colorful Spring Wedding At Mrs. K's Toll House in Silver Spring, Maryland
Rebecca Zajdowicz (35, analyst) and Jeffrey Horton (30, Ph.D. candidate) met in graduate school through a mutual friend, but they didn’t start dating till a year later. After they ran into each other repeatedly they figured, why not? They gave their relationship a chance and ended up dating for five years. One day, when Becca got home from work and was getting ready to go to the gym, Jeffrey said “Hey, before you go, can I ask you a quick question?” He proposed to her with a family diamond in a custom set ring. The couple held both their ceremony and reception at Mrs. K’s Toll House in Silver Springs, Maryland. The garden in which they had their outdoor ceremony has a beautiful gazebo and arched garden trellis under which they were wed. Their color palette was navy blue and pink, which is a combination of their favorite colors. Their flower decorations consisted of blue and pink paper flowers which they bought from Etsy seller Papercatz. These flowers also made up the bouquets and boutonnieres. Becca wore an A-line, strapless, lace galina wedding dress and paper flowers in her hair. The bridesmaids wore navy and white lace dresses from Nordstrom. The groomsmen and the groom wore gray suits with blue paper flower boutonnieres with burlap accents. The guest book featured a tree with leaves for guests to sign, and as wedding favors, Becca and Jeff gave their guests packets of wildflower seeds. Becca and Jeff’s pink and navy wedding was unique and memorable.
